The National Training Center
The National Training Center, launched by Workplace Options in 2004, provides design and delivery of customized work-life and management training seminars to companies and organizations located throughout the country.
We assist your organization in promoting a healthy work environment where employees are engaged and effective in their roles. Our worksite learning opportunities are designed to educate and motivate employees to be pro-active and effective in managing their work responsibilities and personal lives.
What It Is
Designed to support your organization’s training activities, WPO’s National Training Center offers a comprehensive catalog of customized Work-Life and Management training seminars. Training is
conducted by a highly regarded network and is led by Mary Ellen Gornick, one of the most respected experts in the work-life field. Our trainers have experience in the fields of work-life, child care, elder caregiving services, nursing, parenting, wellness, management and social work.
The National Training Center has over 120 on-site and web-based training seminars that focus on vital work-life and workplace management issues. The seminars offer a “smorgasbord” of topics from which to choose—child care, parenting, elder care, lifestyle, and wellness —as well as management training and working abroad. Seminar content is designed to assist participants in learning new skills, modifying behaviors, improving communication techniques and utilizing resources that enhance personal effectiveness.
Our comprehensive seminars contain a mixture of lecture, audience participation and audio/visual components. Seminars can be conducted face to face or as “webinars,” and planned for one- or two-hour sessions that take place during the lunch hour or at employee training, management meetings,
new hire orientations or any convenient time
during the workday.
Delivery Options
The National Training Center does not promote a “one-size-fits-all” model. All aspects of our training programs can be customized to the unique needs of your clients. WPO clients have the option of four training delivery methods:
- Purchase a block of seminars to be delivered by WPO’s nationwide team of trainers.
- License WPO’s topic-specific curriculum for use by your own facilitators.
- Have WPO facilitate these seminars or WPO’s curriculum with “train the trainer” classes and logistical support.
- Utilize The National Training Center as your training department.
